Webcast : Manage DevOps and DataOps with a Universal IDE
DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development and IT operations. It speeds up software development and provides continuous delivery with high-quality deliverables. DataOps is an automated, process-oriented method to develop and deliver data analytics. It brings together DevOps teams with data specialists to support the data-focused enterprise. Watch this webcast to learn what both approaches have in common and who handles them. See where DataOps fits in, how DataOps works, and how to leverage a DataOps team using Aqua Data Studio.
DevOps combines the words development and operations. It and refers to a set of practices, methodologies, and tools that aim to improve collaboration, communication, and integration between software development (Dev) and information technology (IT) operations (Ops) teams. The primary goal of DevOps is to increase an organization’s ability to deliver high-quality software applications and services. By adopting DevOps practices, organizations can achieve faster time to market, improved customer satisfaction, and increased efficiency in their software development and delivery processes. DevOps involves:
* Continuous Integration (CI): Integrating code changes often to detect and fix issues early in the development process.
* Continuous Delivery (CD): Automating deploying software to production environments, ensuring that it is always in a releasable state.
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Managing and provisioning infrastructure through code, making it easy to replicate and maintain.
* Monitoring and Logging: Keeping track of application performance and user behavior to identify and fix issues.
* Collaboration and Communication: Encouraging open communication and collaboration between development and operations teams, breaking down traditional silos.
DataOps, or data operations, is a collaborative data management practice focused on improving communication, integration, and automation of data flows between data managers and data consumers across an organization. It is an Agile approach to designing, implementing, and maintaining a distributed data architecture that supports a wide range of open-source tools and frameworks in production. The goal of DataOps is to deliver value faster by creating predictable delivery and change management of data, data models, and related artifacts. DataOps combines a process-focused perspective on data and the automation methods of the Agile software development method to improve speed and quality and foster a collaborative culture of rapid, continuous improvement in the data analytics field. It enables collaboration across complex arrays of people, technology, and environments, and aims to bring speed and agility to end-to-end data pipelines, from collection to delivery.
An integrated development environment (IDE) for databases is a software application that provides a comprehensive set of tools for managing, querying, editing, and developing databases across multiple database management systems (DBMS) and platforms. The universal aspect means the IDE supports various database systems, allowing developers and administrators to work with multiple databases using a single interface
